Warframe Trading: Complete Beginner Guide
Trading between players is the heart of Warframe's economy. Here's how to start the right way.
1. Know the price
First, check the real price: median, lowest sell and volume. Search any item on VoidRelay for the live price, ducats and (for Primes) the parts-vs-set comparison.
2. Post an order
On Warframe Market, create a sell order (at median, or slightly below to sell fast) or a buy order. Stay online in-game; the other player messages you, you invite them to your dojo or a relay, and confirm the trade.
3. The trade tax
Each trade costs credits (a trade tax) proportional to item value. Always keep a credit reserve. You also have a daily trade limit based on your Mastery Rank.
4. Mistakes to avoid
- Don't undersell: check the price first (many beginners sell 10× too low).
- Be wary of "too good" buy prices.
- For vaulted or recent items, prices move fast — recheck right before trading.
5. What to sell as a beginner
Start with Prime sets and the rare mods you drop. See our platinum farming guide for the full list.
