How to Farm Platinum for Free in Warframe

Platinum is Warframe's premium currency, but you don't have to buy it — you can earn it all just by playing, then trading your items with other players. Here are the most profitable methods, from easiest to most advanced.

1. Sell Prime parts and sets

This is the #1 platinum source. Prime items come from opening Void relics in Fissure missions. Once you have a full set's parts, sell them individually or as a complete set. Always check the live price first — a recent or vaulted Prime set can be worth 100–300+ platinum.

Tip: on every item page, compare "parts vs set" — sometimes selling parts separately earns more than the full set.

2. Sell rare mods

Many mods sell well: syndicate augment mods, rare Nightmare mods, Primed mods and Sortie rewards. Keep an eye on rare drops — some are worth 50–150+ platinum.

3. Arcanes

Arcanes (Eidolons, Profit-Taker, etc.) are in high demand for end-game builds and resell well, even un-maxed.

4. Rivens

Riven mods have random stats: a well-rolled riven on a popular weapon can be worth hundreds or thousands of platinum — the highest ceiling.
