Are Coda weapons related to Liches?

No. Unlike Kuva weapons (Kuva Liches) or Tenet weapons (Sisters of Parvos), Coda weapons are bought directly from Eleanor, a merchant of The Hex syndicate, with no hunt and no mods to guess.

How do you get Live Heartcell?

By defeating a Technocyte Coda, an enemy found in Höllvania. Each Coda weapon costs 10 Live Heartcell at Eleanor's.

Can you reroll a Coda weapon's elemental bonus?

Yes: the damage bonus (the "Progenitor bonus") is randomly assigned on purchase and Eleanor's stock refreshes every 4 days — no relics or extra farming needed to try for a different one.

Coda weapons: how to get them

Coda weapons are NOT a Lich system: no hunting, no Requiem mods to guess. They're bought directly from Eleanor, a merchant of The Hex syndicate in Höllvania, using Live Heartcell.

How to get them

Defeat a Technocyte Coda (an Infested enemy found in Höllvania): it drops Live Heartcell.
Visit Eleanor (The Hex, Höllvania Central Mall): each Coda weapon costs 10 Live Heartcell.
No relics, no mods to hunt for — the price is paid entirely in Heartcell.

The Progenitor bonus

Every Coda weapon carries a random elemental damage bonus (the "Progenitor bonus"), assigned at the moment of purchase. Don't like the roll? No need to farm from scratch — Eleanor's offer refreshes every 4 days, with a fresh roll each time.

Bassocyst (shotgun), Bubonico (rifle), Catabolyst (pistol), Caustacyst (melee), Hema (rifle), Hirudo (melee), Mire (melee), Motovore (melee), Pathocyst (melee), Pox (pistol), Sporothrix (sniper), Synapse (rifle), Tysis (pistol) and Dual Coda Torxica (pistol). All introduced with Update 42.0 ("The Shadowgrapher").
